EHL80. Bath Chair Stand. Victorian/Edwardian. Cranbourne Court, 1 Cornfield Terrace, Eastbourne. what3words location: safely.into.perky

Licence plates were attached to the base of a wall where the licence holder was permitted to stand whilst awaiting hire.

The plate is on the boundary wall of the house nearly opposite the junction with Blackwater Road, but the plate is difficult to find due to the plants which normally cover it during the growing season.  I took this photograph in 2023, but it is on Bob Cookson's repainting list and may now be in its original colour of green with white lettering.
