EWW Fire Hydrant cover. Firle Road near the junction with Beltring Road, Eastbourne. what3words location: carbonate.skip.frog


I have dated this particular cover c1908 based on historical map data.

These Eastbourne Water Works covers can be found all over the older parts of Eastbourne.  I believe the similar EWC (Eastbourne Waterworks Company) covers may postdate the EWW covers.
