EHL45. Luggage Porters Stand. Victorian/Edwardian. The Mansion (Lions) Hotel, Grand Parade, Eastbourne. what3words location: farms.nods.first

 


Licence plates were attached to the base of a wall where the licence holder was permitted to stand whilst awaiting hire.  

Boundary side wall of the hotel in Hartington Place.  This one was difficult to spot due to the multiple layers of black paint.  

Harold Spears 1984 survey result for LPS plates stated 'Hartington Place, 2 on Mansion Hotel wall,' so one has disappeared sometime after that survey.
